To promote a greater understanding of mineralogy and Earth Sciences;
 To provide instruction and guidance in protection of natural resources and the wise use of the outdoors;
 To provide instruction in artistry from natural resources by:
 a) Teaching the lapidary arts of cutting, polishing, carving, metalsmithing, and wire wrapping by utilizing natural rocks, gems and minerals;
 b) providing the facilities and tools necessary for instruction;
 To create greater public awareness of family benefit of lapidary arts by hosting display shows.
 To host educational visits by school children; youth groups and adults (TBD/TBA)
 To create better family life both in our community and beyond, by promoting participation in the lapidary arts and outdoor rock hunting activities.
